Tweaks

27th January 2007

I’ve just spent the last 30 minutes or so playing around with the site and tweaking the design ever so slightly. I haven’t quite finished things yet but it’s just about ready to go back live. Things haven’t been tested in IE just yet, but will be sorted this evening.

So what’s changed? Not a lot really. Your now looking at pretty much the same layout but with the menu having been moved from between the logo and the flickr section to just below it all. I think…

Trials blog

23rd January 2007

The past week or so I have been spending a little bit of free time planning a new website called Trials Blog. It’s not like yet, but I’m making good progress on the site and fully expect it to be live next week, maybe even sooner if the damn domain name hurries up and propagates. It’s a frustrating wait.

Having said that I’m not looking forward to the results for my essay I handed in last week or for…

16th January 2007

The last week or so has been pretty crazy. So many deadlines it’s unreal. In fact, too many deadlines in my humble opinion but we’ve just about come out the other side now. Scraping through I’m still standing but only just.

First off we had a 2000 word essay for idat 104, which I made the mistake of leaving to the last minute resulting in a frantic rush to get it done in time. We made it though, but you have the question the quality of the work. I can’t see it…

Touch driven computer screens

09th January 2007

I posted in my quick links section earlier to a youtube video where a research scientist demonstrated a touch driven computer screen. Well I decided I can’t just leave it as a quick link and want to talk a little bit more about it as I was so blown away by it all. An interface like this would take the digital art industry to a completely different level but just imagine if/when something like this was part of our everyday lives.
