∞Home for Christmas
14th December 2006
Yesterday was my last day in Plymouth in the year 2006. We’re now back in the land of the Kernow for Christmas with my family and it’s pretty good to be back. We had an assignment that had to be in this week, which was to produce a magazine advert in Illustrator. I think mine ended up ok but I’m not particularly happy with it. All week I was putting it off due to lack of creative inspiration. In the end I did it because I had to get it done as I was being picked up on…

Over the past week or so I have been hard at work on a number of different projects due to launch next year. It’s been good getting in some fresh work, some from new clients and other bits from returning clients.
First off I have a small site to do for Cornwall Agility Club who I worked with about 4 years ago on their first ever website. Since then their site has grown old and out of date and was in a desperate need for an updated design and new content along with a content management…

Dan Cederholm has popped out another great looking design. The brackets remind me of the tags used in ExpressionEngine. Very nice.
∞The dreaded exam
03rd December 2006
So tomorrow I step into a world of hell as I have an exam for the dreaded CNET module on our course. If binary numbers, and computer architecture is your kind of thing then you’d be fine. Sadly for me, it’s not my kind of thing and therefore I am going to get absolutely hammered in it and I’m not just saying this because I get all scared and paranoid before exams. I’m saying this because I know for a fact that I know nothing about this sort of thing and it’s all dutch…

30th November 2006
I’ve just uploaded my website that I designed for our first assignment in IDAT102. The design is really just your bog standard, no thrills site design, which was made in a matter if minutes as it wasn’t the design we were being marked on. Behind the scenes there are a few javascript bits chucked in, which we were being marked on. This includes a calculator, form validation and of course an interactive map. Content wise…

We were handed our new assignment brief for the IDAT102 module. This assignment is intended test our understanding of basic animation, drawing and coding with Flash .
We are required to create an interactive movie poster using flash which will provide information on the movie and promote it by creating an engaging experience for the user. We have to make use of buttons and the relevant ActionScript to allow the user to interact with various elements. Additional movie information must…

27th November 2006
Since forever, I’ve been working on the 8Ball-Online website for a few friends in Cornwall. 8Balls is a brand new DVD, documenting bodyboarding from all around the UK. The site isn’t finished yet, and a lot of pages are being worked on by the 8Balls folks themselves, but I have had a hand in the overall site design and development of the site.
The site is using a relatively simple design that I knocked together…

23rd November 2006
I ended up spending pretty much the whole day yesterday working on the IDAT102 website and JavaScript assignment. It turned out to be a little more long winded then I originally anticipated but this only inspired me to go out and drink more afterwards. I felt I had worked hard and earned the right to piss my money up against the wall. Back to the assignment though, I managed to finish all of the tasks, which included a pop up calculator, feedback form validation and an interactive world map. For…

21st November 2006
After anticipating it’s launch for months, I was over the moon to finally go out and buy Gears of War for the xbox 360 on the 17th. The game is based around an inmate named Marcus Fenix who is charged with the task of keeping humanity alive from the Lucust Horde that have risen from the ground and started to kick some serious ass.
The first thing that I have to get off my chest is the fact that this game is probably the best game I have ever played. It’s got absolutely everything.…
