8Balls Online

27th November 2006

Since forever, I’ve been working on the 8Ball-Online website for a few friends in Cornwall. 8Balls is a brand new DVD, documenting bodyboarding from all around the UK. The site isn’t finished yet, and a lot of pages are being worked on by the 8Balls folks themselves, but I have had a hand in the overall site design and development of the site.

The site is using a relatively simple design that I knocked together in a few hours and the back-end is powered by Expression Engine, which allows the guys to add rider profiles, site news, blog posts and a bunch of other cool bits and bobs online without having to worry about what is going on behind the scene in terms of html mark up.

As the I said, the site isn’t quite finished and a lot of the additional pages and content haven’t been much to do with me, for example the profiles page was knocked together by the 8Ball ball guys so they may have made changes to the mark up. The homepage is an example of the pages I dealt with. Go on over and check it out and see what you think.
