IDAT104: Presentation
16th November 2006
I don’t like giving presentations. I especially don’t like giving presentations on subjects that are of little interest to me and that I don’t fully understand. Well I had to give one of those presentations today and it wasn’t much fun. Luckily we were in a group of 4, which sort of moves the attention from the audience around a bit which gave me time to reflect and just generally relax after doing my poorly prepared piece. Another good thing was the room only had about 10 people in it so the amount of people that saw me fail miserably was kept to a minimum. Anyhow, we got the job done. We did a bad job. Now I’m moving on. I’m over it and looking forward to eating my Chinese takeaway this evening.
Elsewhere I’m still plodding away with the odd assignment here and there, working on bits and bobs for a couple clients and generally everything is very good. I’ve started to get together a few design concepts for the work section of this website so I don’t just chuck my visitors over to my Solution:Web website all the time. I’m going to keep everything very minimal and simple. At the end of the day all I’m trying to do is show off some of my work to potential clients. With this in mind, I’m still finding it really hard to settle with a design and style for it. I have so many different ideas and directions I would like to try it’s taking forever to get around to cracking them all out and seeing how well they work. Ho hum.
