Not enough hours in the day

16th January 2007

The last week or so has been pretty crazy. So many deadlines it’s unreal. In fact, too many deadlines in my humble opinion but we’ve just about come out the other side now. Scraping through I’m still standing but only just.

First off we had a 2000 word essay for idat 104, which I made the mistake of leaving to the last minute resulting in a frantic rush to get it done in time. We made it though, but you have the question the quality of the work. I can’t see it getting a great mark on this part of the course, partly because I hate the module and struggle to find any interest in it. It’s hard to explain what it about so I will save you the pain but just take my word for it, it’s not many times I get scared when reading something written in the English language. With this module I do. Rarely does a word pop up that results in me understanding it. I think the same goes for a lot of my fellow course goers from what I hear.

Next up we had a test for soft131m which is on VBScript. Again, I was hardly partying over the idea of this test but a bit of last minute revision (there’s a pattern appearing here) did just the trick. Found the results literally 10 minutes ago and found I got a first. There must have been a mistake during the marking.

Elsewhere I have gotten my greasy mitts on a new bike, so the weekend was spent back in Cornwall training hard to get used to it in time for the next South West Centre Championship round. The first round was a complete disaster for me, but I’ve clicked with the new bike and am expecting a much better result this weekend. Fingers crossed.

In terms of web work, I’ve been busy tweaking and working on a new design for E-Bikes. When this design will be rolled out I do not know, but I doubt it will be any time soon. E-Bikes has been buzzing in the last few days and it seems every time I put an item up that’s of any quality it gets snapped up straight away. Theres been a whack of new clothing put on the site which was gobbled up straight away, which shows the site is on the up and it’s just a case of convincing people to list their own products.

I’ve also done a few tweaks to the design of this site which has ended up in me working on a new design concept completely. It wont be a major change, but there will be a few differences to whats on offer right now. Again it remains to be seen when this will get done. Sooner rather then later I hope. Works quite busy too which is nice.

Update over.
