Things in the pipeline
06th December 2006
Over the past week or so I have been hard at work on a number of different projects due to launch next year. It’s been good getting in some fresh work, some from new clients and other bits from returning clients.
First off I have a small site to do for Cornwall Agility Club who I worked with about 4 years ago on their first ever website. Since then their site has grown old and out of date and was in a desperate need for an updated design and new content along with a content management system that would allow them to add news, results and regs. So I’ve been spent a few days working on a design concept for the new website as well as planning out how I’m going to tackle the back end side of things. This project will be the first to launch as I’m really just waiting for content from them and then it’s just a case of spending an afternoon sorting out the content management system.
Next up is a pretty exciting project for a client who require an e-commerce website for their company who has been trading offline successfully for a past few years. This is the first time I have really taken on anything like this as before I have tried to stay in my comfort zone and sticking with the basic site design and content management side of things. I’m teaming up with a good friend who has had good experience in the past with e-commerce website which will hopefully make the learning curve a little less daunting.
Finally is a project I have mentioned quite a few times in the past for a local printing company in Cornwall. This project has had to be put on hold due to them being too busy with work until the end of the year. We are set to kick start the project again in January. Previously we had a design concept in place and we were all but ready to rock. But a new idea has hit and they have asked me to take the project in a new direction, which may require me venturing into Flash! Yikes.
It’s been good fun and I’m quite excited to get these sites live. When they do go live, this will be the first place I will link them up. Stay tuned.
